PROTESTS AND REQUEST FOR
REDRESS BY BOATS
The Vska prescribes:
The Protest Committee Chairman is bound to advise the Comitatee must
see the protest from the skippers in email
comitato@vskalive.com with video race - minute for that problem
- descrition protest with name boat in that incident.
In the race is possible:
A competitor may hail for protest by writing "P"
or "Protest" in the race chat as soon as possible
after the incident.
The competitor who is protested on should as soon as reasonably possible
reply with:
"Y" or "Yes" if he/she
agree that he/she has broken a rule. A penalty should be added to
his/her tally.
"N" or "No" if he/she
disagree that he/she has broken a rule.
A penalty should not be added to his/her tally, but the competitor
who protested is entitled to file a post race protest to the comitato@vskalive.com
jury. No reply is to be concidered as "No".
A penalty assigned by the VSK umpire is to be concidered correct unless
there is a request to cancel the penalty from the competitor who got
the penalty.
If a competitor who got a VSK penalty claims that it should not have
been given any penalty in this situation, he/she should request a
penalty cancellation. The request is the regular VSK feature, either
by clicking on the penalty icon or pressing the
key assigned for the feature.
The VSK cancel feature does not work if the penalty removed a penalty
from the opponent instead of adding one to the competitors tally,
so in such a case a competitor has to write "C" or "Cancel"
in the race chat instead.
If a competitor who got a VSK penalty claims that the penalty should
have been given to the other competitor, he/she should request a penalty
cancellation followed by a protest call ("P"/"Protest")
.A competitor who receives a request to cancel a penalty should always
cancel the penalty, regardless of whether he agrees or disagrees with
the call. A penalty that is requested cancelled by writing "C"
should also be concidered cancelled by default.
A competitor who disagrees with a penalty cancellation, should write
"P" or "Protest" right after the penalty has been
cancelled.
Penalties given by VSK and penalties accepted volunteerly (with a
"Y"/"Yes" ) or cancelled by "C", should
be summarized.
If possible, the VSK pen tally should be manipulated in order to allow
the VSK tally to represent the correct tally.
If a competitor on the water is protesting, and the accused competitor
does not agree with the protest, then the competitor may file an official
protest to the Comitato@vskalive.com
But first make a serious effort of solving the case without involving
the jury. If the competitor still wants to file a protest, make sure
the formalities are right:
Take a screenshot right after the response "No"
(or lack of response) from the opponent. .
Both competitors should as soon as possible
send their replays, screenshots and descriptions of the case to Comitato@vskalive.com
with a copy to the other competitor.
Remember to point out in the mail exactly at
what time in the replay the situation occurred, and also what
race in the series the protest is regarding.
